About Mathrone Academy
Mathrone Academy is tutoring platform based in Rwanda, connecting
students across the country with qualified, vetted tutors for personalised
one-on-one learning.
We serve students at every level and across all curricula including the REB
national curriculum, Cambridge IGCSE, and A-Level. We offer two modes of
teaching which are home tuition, where
tutors teach at students' homes, and online teaching, where tutors support
learners through our digital platform via video call in real time on whiteboard.
Our aims are to have tutors who genuinely know their
subjects and know how to teach them. Our tutors are not just subject experts they are educators who take the progress of
their students seriously.
What
We Are Looking For:
We are looking for qualified individuals who are
passionate and capable of teaching in any field. This means:
Academic
tutors: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer
Science, Economics, Geography, History, English, French, Kinyarwanda,
Literature, Psychology, and all other REB, Cambridge, and A-Level subjects
Professional
and skills tutors: Accounting,
ICT, Entrepreneurship, and other vocational or professional subjects
Primary
school tutors: P4,
P5, and P6 all subjects, with patience and the ability to communicate clearly
with younger learners
Special
focus tutors: Students preparing for national examinations
(P6, S3, S6) and those needing remedial support
Requirements to apply
To join the Mathrone Academy tutor network, you must meet
the following requirements:
Academic
qualifications:
1.
A2 Certificate for those who did
TTC and bachelor's degree in a relevant field,
OR
2.
Demonstrated professional expertise in the
subject you wish to teach, supported by academic or professional certificates
3.
Strong academic performance at your previous
level of study
4.
Teaching ability:
a.
The ability to explain concepts clearly and
adapt your teaching style to different learners
b.
Patience, reliability, and a genuine interest
in student progress
c.
Previous tutoring or teaching experience is
an advantage but passionate first-timers
with strong subject knowledge are welcome to apply
5.
Practical requirements:
a.
A reliable internet connection and a device
capable of supporting video calls (for online tutoring roles)
b.
Availability for at least 4–6 hours of
tutoring per week to start
A professional attitude and the ability to communicate
clearly with both students and parents
Personal character:
1. Honest and punctual, our students and families rely on you showing up and delivering
2. Committed to confidentiality, student progress and personal information must be handled with discretion
3. Growth-oriented willing to receive feedback and continuously improve
