Why This Scholarship Matters

Rwanda's education system is undergoing rapid transformation. The shift to the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), the introduction of new S4 streams, and the growing emphasis on inclusive education ,particularly Special Needs Education and Early Childhood Development all require a teaching workforce that is more qualified, more specialised, and more effective. Many of Rwanda's most committed teachers have been teaching for years on A2 or Diploma qualifications and this scholarship is a direct government investment in those teachers  an acknowledgement that the people already in classrooms, with years of experience, deserve the opportunity to deepen their qualifications without leaving their schools.

A degree from the University of Rwanda College of Education does not just benefit the teacher who earns it, it benefits every student that teacher will teach for the rest of their career. So, if you are one of the 300 teachers selected, this scholarship changes your professional trajectory permanently , at no cost to you.
