The deadline to apply for the scholarship supporting the Autumn 2027 class is 31st May 2027. The scholarship will be awarded in June 2027 so, Before you begin preparing your application, read this guide carefully  including the sections that most articles about this scholarship leave out.

About the Boustany Foundation

The Boustany Foundation was established in 2006 by Nabil Boustany and his son Fadi and the foundation is present in Switzerland and Monaco and is focused on promoting access to world-class education, supporting less privileged children, and encouraging cultural tolerance and exchange. The Harvard MBA Scholarship is one of the foundation's flagship programmes — reflecting its belief that exceptional individuals, regardless of background, should have the opportunity to access the world's best education.

What the Scholarship Covers

This is a partially funded scholarship not a full scholarship and here is exactly what it covers:

·       75% of Harvard Business School tuition fees  at current HBS rates, this translates to approximately $102,200 total ($51,100 per year) across the two-year MBA programme. The remaining 25% of tuition, plus all living expenses in Boston, remains the responsibility of the scholar.

·       Travel expenses related to the mandatory internship at the Boustany Foundation office in Monaco

·       Accommodation expenses during the two-month internship period in Monaco

What it does not cover:

Prospective applicants should plan their finances carefully. Even with this scholarship, studying at Harvard Business School requires significant additional personal funding SO, he scholarship is a major contribution  not a free ride.

The Monaco Internship

One of the most distinctive features of this scholarship is the mandatory two-month internship at the Boustany Foundation's office in Monaco.

The internship is unpaid   many articles describing this opportunity omit this fact. What the foundation covers is travel to Monaco and accommodation during the internship period and the internship work itself does not come with a salary or stipend.

During the internship, scholars work on projects related to the Foundation's activities including increasing awareness about the Foundation, designing or proposing new scholarships, or working on other initiatives that further the Foundation's vision. The dates of the two-month period are determined on a case-by-case basis between the scholar and the Foundation.

For the right candidate, this is a genuinely valuable experience  working inside a private philanthropic foundation in Monaco, contributing to education initiatives, and building a unique professional profile. But it should be entered with accurate expectations.

How Many Scholarships Are Awarded?

Your Harvard application comes first. The quality and strength of your Harvard Business School application  your GMAT, essays, recommendations, and interview performance  determines whether you receive the admission offer without which you cannot apply for this scholarship at all. Invest the majority of your preparation time there.

Write a targeted, specific CV. The Foundation values candidates who demonstrate a genuine commitment to positive global impact and your CV should tell a coherent story, academic excellence, leadership roles, initiatives that created meaningful change. Generic CVs are easy to identify.
